European-style cabinets are built without a face frame. The door covers the front edge of the box, the hinges mount inside it, and the opening runs the full width of the cabinet. Euromaster Cabinet supplies this frameless, full-access construction to dealers, builders and contractors across the United States, and its boxes assemble by hand with a click joint instead of screws.

What frameless construction changes

A traditional American cabinet has a hardwood face frame attached to the front of the box. Doors hang on that frame, and a center stile often splits a double-door opening. A frameless cabinet leaves the frame off. The side panels form the front edge, and each door mounts to the inside of the box on a concealed hinge.

  • Full access. With no center stile, the whole opening is usable for pots, small appliances and pull-outs.
  • Clean fronts. Doors sit side by side with narrow, even gaps. That look only works when every box is square.
  • Concealed hardware. Hinges are hidden when the door is closed. Euromaster boxes come with soft-close hinges and drawer runners.

How the toolless assembly works

Euromaster uses Threespine ID®, a mechanical locking system licensed from Välinge Innovation, which holds the patent. The Kilim Group, Euromaster's parent company, engineered the system into its frameless cabinet boxes. The joint is cut into each panel at the factory, so the installer's job on site is to line the panels up by hand and press them together until they lock.

The box needs no screws, no glue and no special tools. Each connection uses wooden dowels, a locking device called Pinlock, and Rotalock. Euromaster's published assembly time is under five minutes per cabinet. The Easy Installation page shows the full sequence.

What it means for dealers and installers

  • Fewer assembly hours. Crews spend their time setting, leveling and hanging cabinets instead of driving fasteners and checking each box for square.
  • Repeatable boxes. Squareness comes from the machined joint, so the tenth box on a job matches the first.
  • Lower labor on the bid. Fewer installer hours per kitchen reduce the labor line a dealer or contractor has to price.
  • Room to adjust. The click joints can be taken apart and put back together, which helps when a layout changes before final install.

Materials and warranty

All Euromaster cabinet boxes are made from plywood. Doors are built on either an MDF core or an engineered-wood core, and the door construction page explains the difference. Cabinets, hinges and drawer glides carry a 3-year limited warranty extended to builders, contractors and dealers.
